Unitarian Universalists of Caldwell County is an emergent congregation; emergent in the sense that we are poised for growth, not just in numbers but in spiritual growth as well. Our first service was held in October 2005. Since then we have met every Sunday.

Our founders were people who longed for the things that other churches provide: stimulating services, freedom to express personal spirituality, and fellowship. We are a lay-led congregation. Every Sunday members of the congregation take turns sharing inspiration with topics related to our principles. Occasionally, we have guest speakers.

We come from a variety of religious backgrounds and experiences, but we are united in our beliefs in charity, generosity, tolerance, democracy, and personal freedom. Furthermore, we believe that each individual should be encouraged to develop a personal belief system with the ability to express those beliefs and opinions without fear of censure or reprisal.
